Embracing Enhancements to Elevate Vista Cove

In 2024, significant strides will have been made to enhance the infrastructure and aesthetics of Vista Cove.

The last of this cycle’s roofs have been replaced and all are now under five years old enhancing the durability of our buildings and our community’s resiliency in the face of seasonal storms.  Measures like this by the Board are fundamental to controlling future insurance costs.

Value:

Before the end of summer, all buildings will be painted, refreshing our community’s appearance to potential buyers and improving market value for owners.

Efficiency:
By September, fiber optics will be installed enabling network technologies that our community to take advantage of to lower operating costs and create more efficient management of property equipment.

Eco-system:

Our landscape is currently undergoing a long needed haircut but, more importantly, steps are now being taken to better align our property with the eco-system that makes Vista Cove unique.  Over the year, you will see the Board investing in “Florida Friendly” and the removal of non-indigenous invasive plants to reduce water expense and protect the marsh flora and fauna we enjoy and are protected by.

Surveys:

For those who do not have the time to participate on our committees, we will be providing online surveys to gather your thoughts and direction on specific projects.  Your participation is needed and valued.  Expect to see topics like: Should we install a sidewalk on the southside of Vista Cove Road connecting to the entrance?  Now that we have fixed the Club House wall facing the pool, what should space be used for?  How old are your water heaters?  

New Committees:

Environmental Committee that addresses eco-system management by partnering with City and County to participate in 5-year plans and develop a Community Crisis Response Plan.

Regulatory Committee to report on FL regulatory issues, planned and enacted, on a quarterly basis and to partner with other St. Augustine COA’s to voice community positions on proposed legislation through local politicians and Tallahassee.

Architectural Review Committee

Our community’s style is modeled after Saint Augustine’s Spanish Colonial. Pirates, storms, time, fire—any and all of these have been responsible for the loss of St. Augustine’s original Spanish colonial houses. Yet Vista Cove still stands and thrives. Meetings Archive
